Known across the sport as the "Prince of Pool", Ko Pin Yi opened the 2026 season by winning the Chinese Taipei Open, the tour's first ranking title of the year. The Taipei native remains one of the game's most decorated champions, having become the first player from Chinese Taipei to win the World Pool Masters, in 2023.
Ko's signature achievement came in 2015, when he swept the World Pool Championship, the World Cup of Pool and the World Ten-Ball Championship in the same year — a feat that cemented his status as one of the sport's all-time greats.
